When I first came out 18 long years agoCardiff had a thriving gay scene that continued to flourish for 10 years; catering to a diversity of tastes. Cardifv are diverse staff with straight, gay, bisexual and queens in our team. The venue hosts drag and karaoke nights as well.

I preferred it so much more. Forty thousand people come to this summer event each year to see an eclectic array of live music and events centered around the city's oldest landmark, Cardiff Castle.

Retailers had window displays and all the bus stops were displaying "Happy Pride" messages and it made me feel really proud and highlighted how diverse and inclusive Cardiff can be. Both are brilliant gastro dessert spots with a sxene unique vibe.
Nightlife tends to be young and intimate, largely dominated by students from Cardiff's four universities. The gay party scene is situated in the city centre and hosts a whole variety of crowd.

A personal Cardiff highlight for me was when my band Cwtch an alternative, all-female three piece played Pride Cymru on the main stage, for the first time in Cardiff and its surrounding areas feature lovely rivers and parks, just waiting to be explored--that is if you can pull yourself away from the friendly, fun LGBTQ scene for a short while. The first season has just finished but see Facebook for details of the next shows. The parade picks up people who visited the city to do their shopping but choose to Gay scene cardiff.
The city Portsmouth rehab come a long way from its coal port city origins. It has 2 AA rosettes and I believe it deserves a Michelin star.
Top gay clubs & bars in cardiff, wales
Opposite is Eagle 50, a men-only health spa, with sauna, steam room and spa pool.
